Phoenix take round 3 against the Patroons
The New York Phoenix took care of business against Captial Region rival, the Albany Patroons, on Tuesday night winning 114-105. This was the third matchup of the season between the Phoenix and the Patroons with each side winning one of the first two.

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) -- The New York Phoenix took care of business against Capital Region rival, the Albany Patroons, on Tuesday night winning 114-105. This was the third matchup of the season between the Phoenix and the Patroons with each side winning one of the first two.
The Patroons jumped out to the early lead, controlling the opening minutes of play. The Phoenix would quickly battle back, responding with a strong stretch of their own to take a 2-point lead after the first quarter.
The back-and-forth first half would continue in the second quarter, the Patroons tied the game just minutes into the quarter and were able to take a 3-point lead into the break themselves. After the break, the Phoenix took control of the contest, outscoring the Patroons 34-16 in the third to secure a lead. While the Patroons would fight back in the final quarter, the Phoenix lead was too much.
Ja'quaye James scored a game-high for the Patroons with 33 points. AJ Mosby led the way for the Phoenix with 23 points in the contest.
