A person took an unintended dip on Friday night when they drove a car into the pool at a gym in Redlands.
The Redlands Fire Department shared a video of the ordeal Saturday, which showed the black sedan fully submerged into the pool at what appeared to be a 24 Hour Fitness on the 27000 block of San Bernardino Avenue. Crews were dispatched to the scene at about 9:30 p.m.
The department said the driver barreled through a wall and into the pool. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, suffered only minor injuries.
Luckily, no other injuries were suffered, as the pool was empty at the time of the crash.
According to California Highway Patrol San Bernardino, the driver lost control of the car before the crash. It wasn't immediately clear whether the driver was arrested, or if drugs or alcohol use was suspected.
No additional details were immediately made available.
