Pedestrian in His 60s Struck, Killed in Collision with Pickup Truck at Vista Intersection

The pedestrian, described as a man in his 60s, was at the intersection of East Vista Way and Townsite Drive when a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a woman in her 30s, hit him at approximately 5:13 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have stated that alcohol does not appear to be a factor for either party. The Vista Traffic Division is overseeing the ongoing investigation.
