Patriots’ defense gets some good news in latest injury report

FOXBORO — Patriots cornerback/punt returner Marcus Jones returned to practice Wednesday after missing two sessions early in the week with an illness.

Wide receiver Javon Baker (concussion) remained out of practice Thursday. Safety Jaylinn Hawkins (illness) and defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy (foot) also weren’t on the practice field.

S Kyle Dugger (ankle), CB Christian Gonzalez (shoulder), LB Anfernee Jennings (knee), T Vederian Lowe (shoulder), S Jabrill Peppers (knee), OL Cole Strange (knee), LB Sione Takitaki (knee), OT Caedan Wallace (ankle), DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (foot) and DT Christian Barmore (not injury related) were limited.

Wallace remains on injured reserve. He was designated to return Monday but must be activated to the 53-man roster in order to play.
