Passenger on motorcycle dies in SR-67 crash
A passenger on a motorcycle died in a crash Wednesday in Ramona, authorities said.
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A passenger on a motorcycle died in a crash Wednesday in Ramona, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 12:55 p.m. northbound on State Route 67 at Dye Road, Officer Jasmine Lopez with the California Highway Patrol said in a news release Thursday.
A 31-year-old man was riding a 2011 Harley Davidson with a 31-year-old woman when the motorcycle crashed into the back of a 2016 Range Rover SUV driven by a 69-year-old man, causing the rider and passenger to be ejected, according to authorities.
The passenger, of Chula Vista, died from her injuries while the rider, also from Chula Vista, suffered moderate injuries. The driver of the Range Rover, of Thermal, California, did not get hurt.
It is unknown if driving under the influence was a factor in the crash.
