San Bernardino County approved new restrictions for roadside parking on three streets in Big Bear this week.
The County's Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to ban parking on the following roads from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Nov. 1 to May 1 every year:
- Jaybird Lane from Tulip Lane to the Big Bear Lake city line
- Mill Creek Road from Tulip Lane to the Big Bear Lake city line
- Tulip Lane from Mill Creek Road to 220 feet north of Jaybird Lane
Two dozen seasonal “no stopping/no parking/tow away zone” signs will be posted in the restricted areas, the San Bernardino Sun reported.
The new restrictions are in place to discourage people from creating dangerous conditions by stopping in the snow to play or go sledding while others are trying to drive on the streets.
