Over $250K in drugs, equipment found in Saguache drug bust
Over $250,000 of drugs and equipment were found in a drug bust, according to a social media post from the Saguache County Sheriff's Office.

DENVER (KDVR) — Over $250,000-worth of drugs and equipment were found in a drug bust, according to a social media post from the Saguache County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said it followed up on leads after the theft of some hunting equipment, and intelligence gathered during the investigation led to the dismantling of a large-scale drug distribution operation, as well as an illegal marijuana cultivation and processing operation.
The Saguache County Sheriff's Office received and executed a search warrant, and with the help of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Alamosa Police Department and the Conejos County Sheriff's Office.
The search warrant resulted in the seizure of the following drugs:
- 116.39 grams of methamphetamine: Street value of $5,820
- 37.03 grams of heroin: Street value of $1,850
- 425.02 grams of fentanyl: Street value of $21,000
- 114.6 pounds of processed marijuana: Street value of $136,800
In total, $164,800 of illegal drugs were removed from the streets, according to the sheriff's office.
The investigation also led to the discovery of a semi-trailer that was dedicated to the illegal cultivation and processing of marijuana. The trailer included two marijuana grow tents and over $100,000 worth of closed-loop marijuana extraction equipment.
Bags that were potentially associated with the packaging and sale of drugs were recovered as well.
The lower receiver of a Geisler brand handgun kit, also known as a "ghost gun," was found alongside other illegally possessed firearms.
