(KRON) – An Oakland shooting has left one person dead on Friday, making it the second Oakland homicide in less than two days.
At 9:45 p.m., Oakland police officers responded to the 4000 block of Edwards Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter notification.
Responding officers located a victim who sustained a gunshot wound(s). Paramedics also responded to the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
OPD said the victim's identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
