Oakley porch pirates stole every gift ordered by local mom: PD

(KRON) -- The Oakley Police Department (OPD) said it arrested a pair of suspected porch pirates following a one-day series of thefts where the two struck a new home almost every hour. One victim told police that every holiday gift she ordered for her children had been stolen from her porch.

OPD said in all of the incidents, surveillance video captured a "female wearing a black Hollister hooded sweatshirt removing a package from the porch before fleeing the area." In one of the videos, a suspect could be seen fleeing in a green Kia car.

Investigators said they have located eight victims so far and have returned their items to them.

The thefts were reported at the following times:

  • 1:46 p.m. in the 800 block of Walnut Drive
  • 2:34 p.m. in the 4300 block of Redwood Drive
  • 3:23 p.m. in the 400 block of Devon Court
  • 4:34 p.m. in the 900 block of Almond Drive

Oakley PD said they located the two alleged thieves at 4:39 p.m. driving in the suspected getaway vehicle in the 200 block of Delta Road.

Police said Randal Locke, 38, of Antioch, and Ashlee Fletcher, 35, of Oakley, were arrested and booked into jail. Officers said the two were found with "a plethora of stolen items most likely from several days/nights of package thievery." After the arrests, police were notified of more theft incidents involving the pair, which are listed below:

  • 5:02 p.m. in the 900 block of Almond Drive
  • 6:27 p.m. in the 3800 block of Creekside Way

OPD said it has not identified all of the victims and are working to return all stolen property back to the owners. Anyone who thinks they are also victims in this case is urged to call 925-625-8060.
