(KRON) – Multiple identification cards and methamphetamine were found in a car, according to the Vacaville Police Department.
At around 3 p.m. on Friday, a resident contacted Vacaville PD dispatch to inform police of “people acting suspiciously” in a park-and-ride parking lot. Officers responded to the location and found the car with a jack underneath.
Police said they began an investigation in which they found methamphetamine and a variety of personal identity information for other individuals, including ID cards, bank cards and a fraudulent check.
One of the suspects was identified as 36-year-old Vacaville resident Vanessa Burton. The other suspect’s identity was withheld. However, police confirmed it was a male suspect.
The duo was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail for on charges related to the violation of felony probation, possession of methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia.
Vacaville PD said officers conducted a follow-up investigation to ensure there were no other victims of the crime by the suspects.
The department reminded residents that various crimes may increase during the holiday season.
