BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Don Postles, who has been at the anchor desk at WIVB News 4 for the last 32 years, is retiring at the end of the month.
Postles started at News 4 in 1993 co-anchoring with Carol Jasen, with Don Paul on weather. During his time at the station, he has covered such stories as the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II, the death of Buffalo journalist Tim Russert, and the deadly 2009 crash of Flight 3407.
Postles co-anchored with News 4 legend Jacquie Walker for over 20 years. Walker announced she would be stepping down from the anchor desk earlier this year and now works on special projects.
"We wish him and his family all the best, and a long and healthy retirement," said General Manager Joe Abouzeid in a statement.
Postle's last newscast will be on Dec. 19.
