COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Colonie Center is getting a new tenant on the second floor of the former Sears space. Fun City Adventure Park has signed a long-term lease for the 52,000-square-foot space, said Robert Heidenberg, president and CEO of Heidenberg Properties Group.
Attractions at Fun City Adventure Park include arcade machines, trampolines, a ropes course, dodgeball, bumper ball, basketball, a foam pit, climbing walls, playground, and more. The adventure park chain has a location in Syracuse, as well as locations in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.
"It will be great for the mall," Heidenberg told NEWS10. "It's a prime location. The space is heavily in demand."
Alex Kutikov with RedMark Realty is in charge of the listing of the former Sears space. With Fun City signing a lease, there's still a 41,000 square-foot space on the second floor available, along with a small space on the first floor.
"Fun City is different than other entertainment spaces," said Kutikov. "It will be a great draw for families."
Heidenberg said renovations on the space are set to start in the spring. Fun City Adventure Park is aiming to open in September 2025.
Colonie Center is owned by Pacific Retail Capital Partners. However, Heidenberg Properties Group owns the former Sears location, which now has Whole Foods, Sierra, and Floor & Décor.
