New pro basketball team coming to Schenectady
The Capital Region will soon be welcoming a new professional basketball team.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Capital Region will soon be welcoming a new professional basketball team. The Basketball League (TBL) commissioner Dave Magley confirmed with the NEWS10 sports team on Monday that Schenectady will be the home of the New York Phoenix.
The Phoenix will play their home games at the Armory Studios NY on Washington Avenue in downtown Schenectady. The team will join the Albany Patroons as the newest regional representative of the TBL.
