Vista Azul – a new affordable housing community in Carlsbad – opened this week. The development includes 70 new homes for low-income families, plus a variety of amenities like an outdoor BBQ and bocce ball court. The units include a mix of one-, two-, and three- bedrooms and anyone earning 30-60% of the Area Median Income is eligible.
“The residents here at Vista Azul will have housing security and that leads to better health and educational outcomes,” said David Estrella, County Housing and Community Development Services Director.
