Nationwide chain names meal after CU football player

DENVER (KDVR) -- After the University of Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter won the Heisman Trophy over the weekend, a nationwide chain known for its wings named a dish in his honor.
Hunter dominated on offense and defense and garnered 80.14% of possible points, the 11th-highest in Heisman Trophy history. Hunter joined Michigan cornerback Charles Woodson (1997) as the only full-time defensive players to claim the prize.
After being named one of two Heisman winners in school history, he was also named after a nationwide dish from one of the most well-known sports bar chain restaurants in the country.
On Sunday, Buffalo Wild Wings announced the meal: a combo.
"'Travis Hunter Combo' --- combo, combo, get it?" said the national sports bar and restaurant.
The combo, specifically made for the two-way star and the fifth non-quarterback this century to win the trophy, includes 15 boneless wings, five tenders, large fries and five dips for $19.99.
Buffalo Wild Wings said the "Travis Hunter Combo" is available nationwide through Dec. 23 only through the online takeout and delivery service.
Recently, Hunter also signed with a major sports retailer, adidas.
As an adidas athlete, the sportswear company said he will wear the brand on and off the field and participate in marketing campaigns.
