Mountain Fire evacuation warnings lifted

Officials announced that all evacuation warnings for residents affected by the Mountain Fire were lifted as of 3 p.m. Sunday.
Evacuation orders were originally issued after the blaze first broke out on Nov. 6 near Balcom Canyon and Bradley roads in Somis.
The evacuation orders were later downgraded to evacuation warnings on the afternoon of Nov. 9 for thousands of residents.
As of Saturday evening, the Mountain Fire has burned 19,904 acres and is 95% contained.
According to CAL FIRE, the blaze has destroyed 243 structures, damaged 127 others, and injured six people – including one firefighter.
Although evacuations have been lifted, VCEmergency.com says the following road closures are still in place for everyone except residents:

- Valley Vista Dr/Fairway Dr
- Valley Vista Dr/Deseo Ave
- West Highland Dr/Mission Dr
- Highland Terrace/Mission Dr
- Santa Cruz Way/Mission Dr
- Marissa Lane/Mission Dr
- San Clemente Way/Mission Dr
- East Highland Dr/North Loop Dr
Ventura County and the city of Camarillo announced it opened a Local Assistance Center (LAC) at 5100 Adolfo Rd. on Thurs, Nov. 14, to help support Mountain Fire recovery efforts.
Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, organizers said residents can visit the LAC for informational help with topics such as rebuilding, tax relief, business and employment assistance, debris removal, permits, housing, rental assistance, vital records, property assessments, public assistance, crisis intervention stress management and more.
In addition to informational help, organizers said the LAC will also offer services such as replacement of driver’s licenses and connection to health care resources.
