Motorcycle Wreck in Miramar Leaves Passenger with Major Back Injury

A male motorist attempted a stunt on his 2018 Suzuki in Miramar Saturday causing an accident that left his passenger with a fractured vertebrae, San Diego police said.
The driver, 22, was traveling westbound on 8800 Kenamar Drive just after 11 a.m. with a woman, 34. riding on the back of the motorcycle. He tried to do a “wheelie,” which caused both him and his passenger to fall from the back of the Suzuki.
Medics sent both of them to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver sustained an injury to his foot, but the passenger appears to be paralyzed below her mid-back.
The San Diego Police Department‘s Traffic Division responded and is handling the investigation.
