More than 10 suspects attempt to break into sneaker shop in Daly City: police

(KRON) -- More than 10 suspects attempted to break into a sneaker shop overnight Monday, the Daly City Police Department said on social media. Officers saw 10-20 individuals trying to gain entry into Locker SF on Mission Street.

The attempted break-in happened around 4:42 a.m. Monday, according to surveillance video on Locker SF's Instagram. The video shows several individuals wearing black hooded sweatshirts coming out of multiple vehicles.

The sneaker shop's doors and windows are blocked off by metal gates. According to police, a vehicle was used in an attempt to break the gates.

One white sedan is seen trying to back into the store to break into it, the surveillance video shows. However, the group of suspects is seen running away as a police car is driving towards the scene.

The suspects fled the scene before any of them were detained. As of Monday night, DCPD has not announced any arrests in connection to this attempted break-in.

Locker SF was closed on Monday, the sneaker store announced on its Instagram.

No other information about the attempted break-in was immediately available.
