It'll be another very sunny and very warm October day in Chicagoland on Monday to start the work week.
High temperatures will soar to around 80 degrees again around the area, about 20 degrees warmer than the average high of 60.5 for Oct. 21. That comes on the heels of a Sunday in which temps reached the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Early-morning temps Monday were already into the 50s for most of the area and right around 60 along the lake.
Monday will also bring abundant sunshine to Chicagoland, with a mostly calm wind from the south/southwest. Temps will then drop by Tuesday, but it'll still be much warmer than normal, with highs in the low 70s and a slight chance for afternoon rain.
And while it won't be as warm the rest of the week as it is to start the week, it's still looking very pleasant, with highs staying in the low to mid-60s.
