Metra service is getting back to normal after a pedestrian was fatally hit by a train Friday morning on the Northwest Side.The person, whose age and gender wasn’t immediately known, was struck by the train around 6:15 a.m. between Melrose and School streets, a spokesperson with Metra said. Earlier, Union Pacific North inbound and outbound trains were halted near the Clybourn station, 2001 N.
