McDonald’s fan favorite Snack Wrap returning to menu in 2025

CHICAGO — McDonald’s Snack Wraps are making a comeback.

Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, said during an interview on “Good Morning America” that the wraps will be back on the menu at the iconic chain restaurants in 2025.

“It has a cult following,” he said, but would not share “exactly when” it will hit menus.

The Snack Wrap was officially launched in the United States in 2006, and was initially only available with crispy chicken and ranch sauce.

Last year, McDonald’s shared how it plans to implement wraps on its menu again during its investor day Dec. 6, 2023, according to NBC. The menu addition is part of the company’s plan to expand offerings for the McCrispy, the company’s Southern-style fried chicken sandwich.

“In the U.S. business, we have three really strong chicken brands between McChicken, Chicken McNuggets and obviously McCrispy,” Erlinger said last year. “But (with) McCrispy, we’re in the early days, really building that brand and so looking forward. Will we eventually have a crispy tender? Yes. And will that allow us to eventually have a McCrispy Snack Wrap? Yes. But we’re still in the early days of doing that.”

In the interview this week, Erlinger also apologized for the deadly E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. The outbreak was eventually linked to the raw slivered onions used on the sandwiches “in about 900 restaurants in Colorado and surrounding states.” The outbreak has been declared over by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“We let people down. I want to apologize to all of our customers who were harmed by this incident,” he said.

Erlinger also discussed McDonald’s plans for the new year, which includes the new rollout of McValue, a cost-conscious-driven concept with value offerings of menu items, including the extension of the popular $5 meal deal through the first six months of 2025.
