Police have apprehended a man who allegedly fired at officers in the City of Orange Thursday evening.
Video showed officers responding to the call had blocked an intersection on the 2000 block of North Tustin Street around 7:15 p.m.
The Orange Police Department later posted on its Facebook page that officers were looking for an armed male suspect in the area of Highland Street and Del Mar Avenue.
"The suspect fired rounds towards officers. NO officers were struck by gunfire or injured," the post read.
A Police Department spokesperson told KTLA that although officers were using a nearby Target store as a staging area, it had nothing to do with the shooting.
The public was urged to avoid the area while police searched for the suspect.
The Police Department later posted in an update that the suspect had been apprehended in the area of Park Lane and Del Mar Avenue.
No further information regarding the identity of the suspect or a possible motive for the shooting was released.
