Man killed in Vista collision with pickup truck
A man was hit and killed by a pickup truck in Vista Wednesday evening.
VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a pickup truck in Vista Wednesday evening.
San Diego County Sheriff's deputies responded to the collision at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of East Vista Way and Townsite Drive in Vista.
The sheriff's office reports a man in his 60s was crossing in a crosswalk when he was hit by a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 being driven by a woman in her 30s.
Authorities say the man died from his injuries. He has not yet been identified.
The sheriff's office says the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with deputies, and that alcohol does not appear to be a factor for either the driver or pedestrian.
The Vista Traffic Division is investigating the pedestrian collision.
