Man found shot to death at Aurora park

DENVER (KDVR) — A man was found shot to death at an Aurora park early Monday morning.
At around 5:45 a.m., Aurora911 received a call from someone who found an unresponsive man lying in a park near East 3rd Avenue and Elmira Street. The area is outside the Lowry Field neighborhood.
When officers arrived at the park they found the unidentified man. Police said evidence suggests the man had been shot. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Aurora police said it is unclear when the shooting took place and they are working to develop suspect information. At this time, no one has been taken into custody.
Anyone who may have information about the man or the shooting is asked to call the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward.
