Man dies in exchange of gunfire after his vehicle was stolen in Logan Square
An unidentified man was pronounced dead Wednesday night in an exchange of gunfire in the Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly after 8 p.m., the victim was headed south in the 2300 block of North Kimball Avenue in a grey sedan when an exchange of gunfire erupted with people inside a black SUV, police said. The victim struck two parked cars before his vehicle stopped. He was taken with a gunshot wound to the head to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The victim struck two parked cars before his vehicle stopped. He was taken with a gunshot wound to the head to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the victim’s vehicle was stolen and they recovered from the scene. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
