Man critically wounded in Back of the Yards drive-by
A 22-year-old man was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting early Friday in Back of the Yards on the South Side. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. when the victim was walking on a sidewalk in the 4800 block of South Ashland Avenue and someone in a gray SUV opened fire, Chicago police said. He was shot multiple times in the chest and he was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said. Area 1 detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made.
