(KRON) -- A 48-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after North Bay detectives identified him as the suspect of an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery of two 7-Eleven convenience stores in Marin County.
Arcturus Wiggins, a resident of Sausalito and Brentwood, entered a 7-Eleven on Highway 1 in mid-October and held the clerk at gunpoint with a silver revolver, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. The suspect stole more than $500 before fleeing from the store.
Sheriff’s deputies investigating the armed robbery identified Wiggins as the suspect and began an attempt to locate him, authorities said.
On Sunday, Wiggins entered another 7-Eleven location on Redwood Highway Frontage Road armed with a silver revolver, according to detectives, and attempted to rob the store. The suspect was wearing “similar, distinctive clothing as the first robbery,” the sheriff’s office said.
Two days later, authorities located Wiggins inside a Starbucks in Marin City, where he was arrested in connection to the two 7-Eleven incidents. In his possession was a silver revolver that the sheriff’s office said matched the description of the firearm used in the holdups.
Wiggins was booked into the Marin County Jail for robbery, attempted robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle. Bail was set at $75,000.
