A man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend while she was working as a Metro bus driver in East Hollywood was arrested, police announced Friday.
A fugitive on the run, Dorian Holt, 45, was taken into custody and accused of attempted murder. The victim was only identified only as a 56-year-old woman.
On Nov. 16, Los Angeles police responded to reports of a shooting on the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue at around 7:24 a.m.
The victim, who was taking a break, had parked near a bus stop at Hollywood Boulevard and Vermont Avenue when she was approached by the suspect and shot multiple times at point-blank range, police said.
She was struck in the face, hands and buttocks. Paramedics rushed her to the hospital in critical condition where she underwent surgery and was later listed in stable condition.
Two days after the attack, police named Holt as the prime suspect in her killing.

The man had fled the scene following the shooting and evaded capture by fleeing the state, authorities said.
In the weeks following, detectives worked to track the suspect down. On Dec. 12, he was taken into custody in the city of Escondido shortly after he returned to Southern California, police said.
It’s unclear how long the couple previously dated or whether any domestic violence reports were filed against Holt. Her nephew told KTLA’s Chris Wolfe what he believed was the reason she left the relationship.
“I think for her, things got to a point where they had been escalating, and it was at a point where she felt like she didn’t need to be in that situation,” he said. “There certainly was a history of violence.”
No further details on the case, including the woman’s identity, were released.
