Man, 34, stabbed to death by housemate inside Staten Island group home: NYPD

A 34-year-old man was stabbed to death by a housemate inside a Staten Island group home early Sunday, cops said.
The victim was stabbed in the abdomen inside what police describe as a group residence on Travis Ave. near Nehring Ave. in New Springville about 1:45 a.m. He died at the scene.
Police have not yet released the victim’s name.
About eight hours after the stabbing cops charged the victim’s housemate Daniel Perez, also 34, with murder.
The stabbing marks the fourth homicide this year in the 121st Precinct, which saw four killings in all of 2023.
The identity of the deceased is pending family notifications.
Perez’s arraignment was pending in Staten Island Criminal Court.
