MUNSON TRIBUTE: Ruth Munson’s murder in St. Paul 87 years ago is the subject of Roger Barr’s nonfiction book “A Murder on the Hill.” There will be a tribute to the memory of this working woman whose death was never solved at 7 p.m. next Sunday at what is now Caffe Biaggio, 2356 University Ave., the site where Munson was last seen alive. The event is sponsored by the cafe, YWCA of St. Paul and the Minnesota Historical Society Press. Tickets are $65 and space is limited. MARCIE RENDON: Discusses her novel “Where They Last Saw Her,” in conversation with Lisa Skjefte, deputy director of Migizi, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit serving Indigenous youth, in Minnesota Humanities Center’s Writers Off the Page series. 6:30 p.m. Friday, Humanities Center, 987 E. FITZGERALD STORY: The St. Paul Stories With Klecko, a series focused on the short stories of St. Paul native F. Scott Fitzgerald, continues with exploration of “Babes in the Woods,” the author’s first professionally sold story in 1919. It’s about a boy who misses his first kiss after being denied by the girl. Based on Fitzgerald’s meeting with Ginevra King, his first love who inspired fictional characters in his writings. Hosted by poet Danny Klecko. Presented by Friends of the St. Paul Public Library.
