LIST: Events and parties to ring in the New Year in Austin
If there's one thing Austin knows how to do, it's party. Here are some ways you can ring in the new year.
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Still looking for New Year's Eve plans? Don't worry, us too. That's why we've compiled a list of options.
If there's one thing Austin knows how to do, it's party, so there are plenty of events to choose from to ring in the new year, from dance parties to concerts, and sober and family-friendly parties.
Austin's New Year 2025
The official city of Austin New Year's Celebration — Austin's New Year — will be at Auditorium Shores. The annual event will kick off at 7 p.m. and wrap up with a midnight fireworks show.
Third Eye Blind will perform at the event, and there will be food trucks, drink vendors and performances from other musicians and DJs.

Bob Schneider’s Great Big Spectacular New Year’s Eve Party
The Paramount Theatre is hosting its annual New Year's Eve party with Bob Schneider. Austin's William Harries Graham is also set to perform.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9. Tickets are still available starting at $35 for balcony seats and going up to $100 for orchestra seats.

Blue Year's Eve with When Where What
When Where What Austin is throwing its own New Year's party for the second year in a row. "Blue Year's Eve" will be at La Zona Rosa from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Early bird tickets are sold out, but general admission tickets are still available for $110.
According to When Where What, the party will include an open bar, free party favors, free tattoos, free tooth gems, DJs, a private Boiler Room-style party room, "concert-level production," a write-your-resolution wall, and multiple photo booths and photo ops.
There will be a toast and a virtual blue square drop at midnight.
Eberly New Year's Eve
"What happens in Vegas stays in 2024" is the theme for Eberly's New Year's party. The restaurant is ringing in the year "Sin City style," with several Las Vegas-themed plans lined up for the night.
Tickets start at $105 plus fees and include a midnight toast. The event starts at 9 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m.
Cheer Up Charlies New Year's Eve Dance Party
Cheer Up Charlies is doing what it does best and having a dance party to celebrate the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. Several DJs and drag performers will be there to entertain, and there will be complimentary champagne upon entry, and a complimentary tequila shot at midnight while supplies last.
The event runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., and pop-up drag performances start at 10.
Tickets are $17.
Elysium New Year's Eve Ball
If you're into the more alternative or gothic scene, Elysium is throwing a ball that may be up your alley. DJ Neph will be spinning 80s and 90s music and goth hits, and there will be drag and burlesque performances.
General admission tickets are $21, and there's a Royalty Package available for $199.
Doors open at 9 p.m. and the show starts at 10:30.
Free, sober event options
There are also some free and/or sober options to choose from.
St. Elmo NYE Party
Both of St. Elmo's locations, one on St. Elmo Road and the other on Springdale, are ringing in 2025 a little early. The brewery is throwing a free, all-ages party from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Both locations will have DJs and live music, face painting for kids, and fun frozen drinks for kids and adults. There will also be a free champagne toast, countdown and balloon drop at 4 p.m.

Stargazer NYE
Stargazer Bar (formerly Austin Eastciders) is throwing separate family-friendly and adult-only parties.
The family-friendly "Early Moon" party will be from 3-7 p.m., and the 21 and up "Stardust" party is from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. featuring a dark wave + new wave dance party.

Austin Roundup's New Year's Eve 2025
Austin Galano Club is hosting Austin Roundup's annual New Year's Eve fundraiser event — a Studio 54-themed bash.
There will be catered food and non-alcoholic drinks, a karaoke room, a tarot reader, a photo booth, a DJ, midnight ball drop, and a silent auction to support Austin Roundup.
The event is from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and general admission costs $25.
Austin Galano Club is a nonprofit that serves the recovering community of Austin and surrounding areas, specifically for the LGBTQ+ community. Austin Roundup is a collection of LGBTQ+ people and allies in recovery who provide fellowship and service opportunities for other recovering LGBTQ+ people in Central Texas.
The Phoenix Austin's 3rd Annual Sober NYE Party
The Phoenix Austin is hosting its annual sober New Year's party at Pease Park from 6-10 p.m.
There will be DJs, a Taco Bar by Cabo Bobs, face painting, giveaways, a Vision Board and Journaling Station, a New Year's themed selfie station, and an early sparkling cider toast to the new year.
