Lincoln County investigating fatal shooting of 38-year-old man
One person is in custody as officials are investigating a fatal shooting of an Elsberry man Monday.
LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. - One person is in custody as officials are investigating a fatal shooting of an Elsberry man Monday.
According to the Lincoln County Coroner Dan Heavin, officers from Lincoln County and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of South Highway W around noon.
When they arrived, they located 38-year-old Kevin Davis with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement took a person of interest into custody for manslaughter. A warrant application is currently pending, officials stated.
