The Lake George Board of Education held its monthly meeting on Tuesday.
LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Lake George Board of Education held its monthly meeting on Tuesday. One topic of discussion was the recent incident where two student-athletes from the Wolverines football team were charged for alleged sexual misconduct.
They said the school's investigation is ongoing even if the Warren County Sheriff's Office's investigation is closed. The superintendent also said there will be additional meetings with coaches and student-athletes to go over proper conduct.
Two students, ages 17 and 18, were both charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. The alleged incident happened on Saturday, Aug. 31, on a Lake George Central School District bus. Police said members of the Wolverines football team engaged in a lewd act against a juvenile on the bus when returning from an event in Syracuse.
The accused have not been named due to their age. The remainder of the Wolverines’ football season was canceled as a result of the accusations and investigation.
