Juvenile hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in North County

VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A juvenile male was sent to the hospital Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in Vista, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Sheriff's Department, a call came in just after 2:30 p.m. reporting the incident in the 800 block of Via Felicidad. Responding deputies located the victim who was taken to a local hospital. He's reported to be in stable condition.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and is cooperating with traffic investigators. Authorities said alcohol or drugs did not appear to be factors in this incident.
