Jamestown man indicted on sex trafficking, kidnapping charges
He faces a minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life if convicted.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Jamestown man was indicted by a federal grand jury on sex trafficking, kidnapping and drug charges, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Tuesday.
29-year-old Duane Lowery, also known as Chi Chi, was charged with the following:
- sex trafficking by force and coercion
- conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force and coercion
- kidnapping
- possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
- narcotics conspiracy
- using and maintaining a drag-involved premises
It is alleged that Lowery conspired with others between October and December 2022 to coerce individuals to engage in commercial sex acts. He forced an individual to engage in a commercial sex act, officials said.
Lowery allegedly kidnapped two people between October and November 2023.
He is accused of using a W. Cowden Place residence to conspire with others to sell fentanyl.
Lowery faces a minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life if convicted.
