SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A jackknifed big rig is blocking multiple lanes Thursday morning on eastbound Interstate 80 in San Francisco, east of First Street on the Bay Bridge, according to California Highway Patrol.
The four left lanes are blocked as of 5:21 a.m. It may take up to three hours for the lanes to be cleared and reopened, CHP said.
According to the CHP incident report, the big rig lost control before jackknifing on the interstate. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The big rig sustained major front end damage.
The big rig driver reportedly sustained injuries in the incident. The severity of the driver’s injuries and their current condition is unknown.
