‘It’s not joever’: Genuine Joe Coffeehouse reopening
In a post Friday, Genuine Joe announced it would reopen at its original location on Nov. 19.
AUSTIN (KXAN) — In a social media post Friday, Genuine Joe Coffeehouse announced it would reopen at its original location, 2001 W Anderson Lane, on Nov. 19.
“We had a few special members of the GJ family come forward and resuscitate our cold dead little coffee shop corpse. With this help from the community and other local businesses, we were pulled from our grave and offered the support we needed to open doors again,” the post said.
However, the reopening won’t come without changes.
According to the coffeehouse, prices have increased, their hours of operation are being reduced, and the location will no longer serve breakfast tacos.
“I hate to say it, you hate to hear it, but it had to happen to stay afloat,” the post said concerning the price increases.
According to the coffeehouse, the new hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
“If you aren’t sick of hearing it by now.. again, I say - thank you thank you thank you thank you. We wouldn’t be here without you,” the post said. “WE LOVE YOU. ITS NOT JOEVER.”
