  • This new division will focus on promoting the adoption of IOTA across various industries.

As the IOTA ecosystem continues to make progress with new technology innovations and partnerships, the IOTA Foundation is revamping its top leadership that can guide through the next phase of growth for the IOTA ecosystem.

The IOTA Foundation has appointed Dr. Navin Ramachandran to its Supervisory Board, responsible for overseeing and guiding the Foundation’s activities. Dr. Ramachandran, a key member of the IOTA Foundation since 2016, brings a wealth of experience as a practicing medical doctor and healthcare researcher. He previously served as an advisor to the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Blockchain, providing him with unique insights valuable to the board’s deliberations.

Joining Dr. Ramachandran on the Supervisory Board are Professor Serguei Popov, a research mathematician and co-founder of the IOTA Foundation, and Clinton Walker, General Counsel at Barclays Bank Delaware.

With Dr. Ramachandran’s transition, the Board of Directors now includes Dr. Anja Radan, responsible for Legal and Regulatory Affairs; Jan Misselwitz, responsible for Finance & People; and Luca Moser, responsible for Research & Development. Besides, the Board is chaired by Dominik Schiener, Co-Founder of the IOTA Foundation, as reported by IOTA.

IOTA Appoints New Director of Technology

The IOTA Foundation also appointed Dr. Christoph Strnadl as its new Director of Technology Adoption. Dr. Strnadl brings over three decades of expertise in IT consulting and management, specializing in leveraging technology for business benefits. His background in Theoretical Physics further enriches his technological acumen.

Dr. Strnadl’s career also includes a decade as a strategy consultant and business manager at Atos, followed by his tenure at Software AG starting in 2005.

In his new role at the IOTA Foundation, Dr. Strnadl will drive technology adoption initiatives within the business-to-business (B2B) and corporate domains. His efforts will focus on projects such as the tokenization of physical assets, including digital product passports and digital identity frameworks.

A New Technology Department

The IOTA Foundation has announced the establishment of its newest division, the Technology Adoption Department. This significant development aligns with the Foundation’s mission to drive real-world applications of IOTA technology, per the Crypto News Flash report. The new department will focus on promoting the adoption of IOTA within various industries, enhancing the Foundation’s strategic growth.

The Technology Adoption Department joins the ranks of other key divisions within the Foundation, including Ecosystem (led by Susanne Krone), Finance & People (Jan Misselwitz), Research & Development (Luca Moser), Legal and Regulatory Affairs (Anja Raden), and Communications (Gunnar Stenzel).

By expanding its decision-making structures and expertise across diverse domains, the IOTA Foundation seeks to explore new opportunities and achieve its vision of a decentralized and scalable future. With Dr. Navin Ramachandran taking on his new role on the Supervisory Board and Dr. Christoph Strnadl leading the Technology Adoption Department, the Foundation will also continue further growth and innovation in the evolving field of distributed ledger technologies
