Injective Protocol Unveils Ionic Upgrade, Links Solana and Ethereum
  • Injective Protocol unveils Ionic upgrade, linking Solana and Ethereum.
  • Enhanced interoperability and user experience with near-zero fees.

Injective’s mission is to create a truly free and inclusive financial system through decentralization. With the fastest blockchain built for finance, and plug-and-play Web3 modules, Injective’s ecosystem is reshaping a broken financial system with dApps that are highly interoperable, scalable and truly decentralized.

According to Injective today, the platform is releasing the Ionic upgrade to the Injective Bridge, unveiling the most advanced interoperability solution in crypto alongside a superior user experience with near-zero fees.

The all-new Injective Bridge will unify one-click bridging across major chains including Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos. In addition, it brings a revamped UX with easy deposit functions, comprehensive transaction histories, and state-of-the-art transfer tracking mechanisms.

Through a tweet on X, Injective Protocol has officially announced the launch of the Ionic upgrade for the Injective Bridge, introducing advanced interoperability and an enhanced user experience with near-zero fees.

This upgrade brings several key features:

  1. Seamless Cross-Chain Bridging: Users can bridge assets across Solana, Cosmos, and Ethereum with a single click.
  2. Expanded Asset Compatibility: Bridging assets from the broader IBC ecosystem and ERC20 tokens via Ethereum bridge is enabled.
  3. Streamlined Onboarding: Easy deposit from major networks like Ethereum and Polygon with one click.
  4. Enhanced Chain Access: Transfers from EVM and non-EVM chains like Solana are simplified.
  5. Improved Transaction Monitoring: Detailed tracking of the bridging process through a user-friendly interface.
  6. Automatic Asset Conversion: Bridged assets are automatically converted, enhancing the overall bridging experience.
  7. Wormhole Gateway Integration: Seamless transfer of Wormhole native assets to Injective.
  8. Migration to Wormhole Gateway: Encouragement for users to transition “legacy” tokens to the new standard.
  9. Milestone in Web3 Evolution: Represents a significant advancement in Web3 infrastructure, offering flexibility and efficiency.

This development seems to provide insight into Solana vs. Ethereum: Evaluating Economic Security with SOL Founder’s Perspective as CNF previously reported. With Solana’s staked value crossing the $70 billion mark, industry leaders are debating whether it could be more secure than Ethereum, which has $108 billion in staked value.

Ethereum proponents argue that it goes beyond staked value and that factors such as decentralization, node requirements, and the shared security from the network effect play a crucial role.

Solana (SOL) currently trades around $186.44 with a decrease of 4.44% in the past day and an increase of 8.19% in the past week.
