SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Protests against enforcement actions from the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency continued in San Francisco and around the Bay Area. The growing number of protests follows a weekend of confrontation between protesters and law enforcement in Los Angeles where the federal government has deployed the National Guard and the U.S. Marines.
In the Bay Area, over 150 people were arrested in San Francisco on Sunday following protests against ICE. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie defended the right of people to protest but urged protesters to remain peaceful.
