Marc Andreessen, co-founder of Andreessen Horowitz, sent $50,000 worth of Bitcoin to an artificial intelligence bot called Truth Terminal.
Andy Ayrey first intended this bot, developed as an experimental AI for memetic engineering and idea generation, but things took a surprising turn when Truth Terminal approved a memecoin developed anonymously named “GOAT.” The bot’s support set off a viral frenzy that drove the GOAT token’s explosive value climb.
AI-Driven Promotion Sends GOAT Token Soaring Over 8,000%
Although the AI bot did not generate the GOAT token, its support had an exaggerated effect on the token’s value, which shot by more than 8,000% in a few days. GOAT started off with a meager market worth of just $5,000 and quickly rose to a valuation of more than $214 million.
Most recently, the token shot skyward and valued $700 million. This rise is a prime example of the remarkable impact stories generated by artificial intelligence can have on speculative digital assets.
The bot’s viral campaign combined with the thrill of crypto traders showed how readily meme coins might draw large attention and money, even in cases when the artificial intelligence’s influence was accidental.
Andreessen explained his participation, pointing out that he had no connections to the development or trading of GOAT and that the grant to the AI bot was just for research needs. Still, the bot’s advocacy of the token highlights how artificial intelligence might affect financial markets—particularly in the speculative and meme-driven world of crypto.
Moreover, the enthusiasm in the meme coin market does not stop with GOAT. Based on its strong foundations and natural expansion, eminent crypto investor Murad Mahmudov believes another memecoin, POPCAT, may surpass $5, according to CNF.
Mahmudov spoke on the continuous “meme coin supercycle,” pointing out a more general tendency in this erratic market, at Token2049 in Singapore. Meanwhile, GOAT is swapped hands about $0.7728 as of writing, and it shows a stunning 35.08% spike over the last 24 hours and a 151.67% rise over the last 7 days.
