'Home Improvement' star arrested for DUI once again: 'I'm sorry I like to drink'

Actor Zachery Ty Bryan who famously starred as Brad Taylor on the '90s sitcom "Home Improvement" has been arrested once again for a DUI, the second one this year.

Bryan was arrested in Oklahoma on Oct. 25 at around 8:34 a.m. and booked in Custer County for allegedly driving under the influence without a valid driver's license according to the Sheriff's Office records obtained by Deadline.

Fox News obtained dashcam footage of Bryan being taken into custody by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The outlet reports that Bryan refused to take a sobriety test and was placed in the front seat of the OHP officer's vehicle before being taken to jail.

"I'm just a good dude, man. I don't know why everybody... I'm sorry I like to drink," Bryan told Trooper Kendrick Johnson in the video.

According to The Probable Cause Affidavit obtained by Fox News Digitial, this all began around 6:47 a.m. when Bryan was found sleeping in the back of his Range Rover parked on the side of the road. Lt. Steven Cornell then parked up the road and shortly after that, Bryan started his car and drove past Cornell.

Cornell then pulled Bryan over, where he confessed to being "intoxicated." From there Johnson was called to take over the arrest.

Bryan told the officer he went out the night before and "down a secret road" and pulled over because he knew he "couldn't drive."

He then said he was "running from California right now" and explained that he "hates that place."

The two of them talked about Bryan's license being suspended due to a previous DUI.

When Cornell asked if it was just one DUI, Bryan paused and said "Oh no, I've had multiple." He then bowed his head down and said "Everyone depends on me, man."

After Cornell directed Bryan to the front of the car to do some sobriety tests, which included walking an imaginary straight line.

He then told Cornell that he just wanted to sleep, but when the officer asked if he felt safe to operate a motor vehicle Bryan said "No."

After a brief exchange, Cornell explained that he's placing Bryan under arrest for DUI

This isn't Bryan's only DUI this year.

In February he was arrested by the La Quinta Sheriff's Department and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.

On July 31, 2023, Bryan was arrested in Lane County, Oregon, for alleged domestic violence, robbery and harassment charges, according to KTLA 5’s sister station KOIN.

He faced similar charges in October 2020, when he was arrested in Lane County for assault, menacing, harassment, coercion, strangulation and interference with making a report following a fight with his girlfriend, police said. While most of these charges were dropped, Bryan ultimately pleaded guilty to assault and menacing charges in 2021 and was sentenced to 36 months of probation and fined $200.

From 1991 to 1999, Bryan played the role of Brad Taylor in the Tim Allen-led sitcom “Home Improvement.”

Throughout the years, he appeared in 2006’s “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” and 2009’s “Thor: Hammer of the Gods.”

According to IMDB, his latest work was in 2022’s “The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!)”
