Heavy rain and storms continue Tuesday morning as a cold front slowly moves east across the bi-state. This means already drenched areas are seeing additional soaking rains.
Soils are now saturated, and area streams and creeks have filled up and are running very high and fast. Flooding is a significant concern Tuesday. Rain may finally clear Missouri communities around lunchtime and then will slowly clear our Illinois counties through the afternoon.
Skies will gradually clear Tuesday night. Let’s watch for fog to develop into Wednesday morning. A few dry days ahead, Wednesday through Friday, before rain chances return Friday night.
