ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Hannaford Supermarkets was experiencing cyber security issues in the second week of November, causing the website and online ordering to be taken down. The company announced on Monday that the website is now live and Hannaford To Go pickup and delivery orders can be placed as slots become available.
While the issues were taking place the supermarkets continued to stay open, accepting all payment methods including credit cards. Most pharmacies were also still processing prescriptions.
"We appreciate our customers' patience and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We recognize that our customers rely on us to nourish their families and we deeply value that relationship. And, we greatly appreciate our associates for their support and commitment to serving our customers with care and compassion," said Caitlin Cortelyou, a spokesperson for Hannaford Supermarkets.
