(KRON) -- A man suspected of burglarizing a Half Moon Bay business was arrested early Monday morning on several charges, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 1:15 a.m., deputies made contact with the suspect at the Half Moon Bay Chevron gas station located at 375 Cabrillo Highway. Authorities said the man, identified as 42-year-old Jose Antonio Reyes Neri, is a “known probationer” and was out of jail on bail. A search of the man uncovered drugs, paraphernalia and multiple suspected stolen items, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies were able to identify the owners of the items, including a local business. The business had “unknowingly been burglarized” hours earlier on Sunday evening, authorities said. The sheriff's office did not specify what was stolen.
Neri was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for burglary, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, petty theft, conspiracy to commit a crime and committing a felony while on bail. His next court date is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
