Garage, vehicles destroyed in Schaghticoke fire
A garage was destroyed in a fire in the town of Schaghticoke Monday afternoon.
SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A garage was destroyed in a fire in the town of Schaghticoke Monday afternoon. The fire took place around 3:20 p.m. at 73 Main St.
Officials said a four-car garage and three vehicles were in the fire. Crews quickly knocked down the flames, though the garage is a total loss and there was heat damage to a nearby residence.
A wall collapse knocked down a firefighter, but he was uninjured. Route 40 was closed for a period of time but has since reopened.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
