Frito-Lay chip recall: Here's what to know
Frito-Lay has issued a recall on certain bags of their Lay’s Classic Potato Chips.
(WJW) - Frito-Lay has issued a recall on certain bags of their Lay’s Classic Potato Chips.
According to the alert shared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall applies to a "limited number" of 13 oz. bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips that may contain an undeclared milk allergen.
The company says it learned about the issue from a consumer.
"Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product," reads the statement.
According to the company, affected products were only distributed to retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington. No other Lay’s products, flavors, sizes or variety packs are recalled and no allergic reactions related to the recalled product have been reported.

Recalled bags will have a "Guaranteed Fresh Date of 11 FEB 2025" on the front of the bag, and the specific manufacturing codes as indicated in the chart below:
