(KRON) -- A former teacher and coach at Vallejo High School was arrested Thursday and charged with child sex crimes, the Vallejo Police Department said. John Paul Acac, 46, worked for the Vallejo City Unified School District for 19 years.
Acac was arrested at about 2:55 p.m. and charged with 14 felonies, including lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and intimidating a witness or victim.
He worked as a teacher and athletic coach at Vallejo High School and John Finney Education Complex. He resigned from VCUSD on Dec. 9.
Police said the alleged illegal activity happened about 10 years ago. VPD believes there may be more victims.

Acac is being held in the Solano County Jail on a $585,000 bail. He pleaded not guilty to his charges.
