Former STL Rams WR Torry Holt named as semifinalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame 2025

ST. LOUIS - Former St. Louis Rams wide receiver and Super Bowl Champion Torry Holt is among one of the 25 semifinalists named for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025.

The list was announced live on the NFL Network's 'Good Morning Football' on Wednesday morning. The list initially featured a group of 167 nominees before being cut down to 25. The list will be cut down to 15 finalists later in the year.

Holt, 48, is on the reduced list alongside the likes of former quarterback Eli Manning, outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, and kicker Adam Vinatieri, among others.

Holt was selected 6th overall in the 1999 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He played 11 seasons with the Rams and was a part of the 'Greatest Show on Turf' championship team that won Super XXXIV in 2000.

Over the course of his career, the 7-time Pro Bowler garnered 920 receptions for 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns. Holt had 7 straight seasons with more than a thousand yards receiving.

Holt has been voted a semifinalist for the Hall of Fame 11 times, the most among the 25 players named this year. He has been nominated as a finalist for the Hall of Fame for five consecutive years, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Holt is looking to become the 5th member of the 'Greatest Show on Turf' to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, joining teammates Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce and Aeneas Williams.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025 will be announced at the NFL Honors ceremony on Feb 6, 2025, in New Orleans. The enshrinement ceremony will take place in Canton, OH, in August 2025.
