Alaska saw at least six flight departures canceled as travelers scramble to get home for the holidays.
Just after 8 p.m., the fog rolled onto the tarmac, creating safety issues for some flights and forcing flights to circle for a break in the fog.
The difficult air travel conditions are expected to continue into the morning hours so make sure to check your flight before heading to SAN.
